Instagram Reels search: find viral Reels in any niche
Last updated
Instagram’s own search shows you what’s popular, not what’s unusually successful. Optimiro searches public Reels by keyword, niche or handle and compares each one with its creator’s median views. You see the Reels that broke out, including on small accounts, and can build your own script or video from them.
A keyword search costs 1 credit and reading an account 2, and saved results reopen for free, so you can come back to a niche as often as you like. No Instagram password is needed. Open any result for an AI breakdown of its hook, format, topic and tone, then turn the idea into a script to film or an animated video.
How to search Reels on Instagram (and where it stops)
In the Instagram app, tap the search icon, type a word and open the Reels results. You can also open a hashtag, or tap the audio on a Reel to see every Reel using that sound. What Instagram won’t do is sort by performance: results follow its own ranking for you, views aren’t compared with what each account normally gets, and you can’t save a search or watch a competitor. That gap — which Reels are doing unusually well, not just which are popular — is what Optimiro’s search fills.
Search by keyword, niche or handle
Type what your audience cares about — “coffee shop Tashkent”, “manicure”, “ielts”, “apartment renovation” — or paste a competitor’s handle. Optimiro collects public Reels and their views in one grid. If the right word is hard to find, describe the job in your own words: AI search, at 5 credits, asks for new Reels and returns at least 20. Researching an account never asks for its password and doesn’t connect it.
How to search Reels in Uzbekistan
There is no country filter, so the query sets the country. Add a city or district, and search the same topic in Russian and in Uzbek: those searches surface different creators. Then open the accounts that keep appearing and read them in full. After a few searches you have a list of competitors and bloggers from your own market rather than a global selection.
Sorted by breakout, not by size
Raw views always favour big accounts. Optimiro divides each Reel’s views by its creator’s median — the Optimiro score — and flags 3× or more as a breakout. A 40,000-view Reel from an account that usually gets 5,000 tells you more about your next video than a celebrity’s millionth view.
Million-view Reels: are they worth finding?
A million views explains very little by itself: for a big account it can be an ordinary day. A Reel that beat its own creator is more useful, because there the idea worked rather than the size of the audience. If your niche has a million-view Reel with a high score, break it down first, but look for the same thing on accounts your size: their move is easier to repeat.
Save it, reopen it free
A keyword search is 1 credit and reading an account 2. Saved research reopens for free, so you can come back to a niche a week later without paying again. Views in saved data can lag behind Instagram until you refresh them.
From a viral Reel to your own video
Open any result for an AI breakdown of its hook, format, topic and tone, then turn the idea into a script to film or a finished animated video with music and a voiceover in Uzbek or Russian. You do the posting.
Questions about this tool
- Which platforms can I search?
- Public Instagram Reels today. YouTube is coming soon and TikTok later.
- Where does the data come from?
- Public research data comes from a third-party provider and is cached, so view counts may lag behind Instagram. Private accounts and private insights aren’t included.
- Can I find Reels I watched or liked?
- Instagram does that itself, under Your activity in its settings. Optimiro works only with other creators’ public Reels and has no access to your personal history.
- Can I search Reels in Uzbek?
- Yes. You can write the query in any language, and Optimiro’s interface works in Uzbek, Russian and English.
